1) Kansas City Chiefs: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
Is Geno Smith the best player in this draft class? No, he isn’t. However, the Chiefs have suffered through putrid quarterbacking for years, and this year Matt Cassel and Brady Quinn were no different. Thus, as NFL teams frequently do, the Chiefs will draft a Quarterback a little bit earlier than he deserves to go. That being said, Smith is a strong-armed, intelligent prospect who can make all the throws. He was incredibly productive at West Virginia (98 touchdowns for his career), and he definitely has the potential to be an excellent NFL quarterback.
