Honorable Mention: Kobe Bryant
Kobe is simply a winner. The current Lakers are not. At plain sight one would ponder as to why these two have not parted ways yet. However, Kobe will never play for a team that is not the Lakers because of the mutual loyalty between them. After missing much of the past two seasons due to injuries, the reasons Kobe is still a Laker go beyond basketball. Kobe has been the highest payed player in the league for some time now, and after giving the Lakers everything he has since 1996, he earned every penny. While it is sad to see that Kobe’s last game likely won’t be a playoff one, the silver lining is that in a basketball age where loyalty is undervalued, Kobe will have played every NBA game for the team that traded for him in a then-risky move on draft day.
