New York City is one of the most well-known cities in the world, and the sports are a huge reason why. The New York Yankees have 27 World Series titles and are one of the most iconic organizations in sports. The New York Rangers have been in the NHL for about 87 years and despite winning only four Stanley Cups, the Rangers have been known as a big market team every year. Than there’s the Knicks, they only have two NBA titles but are a very big talk show subject with all of the controversy usually going on. Lastly, the Giants and Jets have been sharing a stadium for many years and even though the Giants have had the edge over the Jets for most years, there is a little hatred between the two. Basically, my point is that New York is a big market area for sports and everyone has their eyes on all teams in NYC. Some players like the attention and some can’t stand the pressure.
