Top Five Starting Pitchers (MLB)

Starting pitchers have dominated the outcome of games throughout MLB history. If a pitcher throws eight innings with a big goose egg in the earned runs column, then that pitcher’s team is likely going to win. The five-man rotation that every team has, starts with one or two aces, followed by two or three solid pitchers. The fifth spot in the rotation could vary from a solid pitcher to a rookie pitcher just being called up for a spot start. Let’s take a deeper look at the top five pitchers entering the 2013 season.
