10) 2013 Class
The 2013 class was not a good one. At the top there is not a lot of guys making big impacts in the NFL. Out of the first rounders the only emerging guys in the league are Sheldon Richardson, Ziggy Ansah, Tavon Austin (who some consider a bust), Desmond Trufant, Eric Reid, Travis Fredrick, Kyle Long, and DeAndre Hopkins. The one strength this class has is running backs. Eddie Lacy, Giovanni Bernard, Le’Veon Bell, CJ Anderson, and Andre Ellington are all making big impacts. Defensive studs Sio Moore and Tyrann Mathieu also came out of this class. The class has eight guys who have made it to a Pro Bowl thus far.
The thing about this class is their is a shortness of superstars and good quarterbacks. EJ Manuel and Geno Smith were the first two guys selected at quarterback, are both are not doing well. Le’Veon Bell and Sheldon Richardson will probably end up being the two best players of this class, and neither was a top-five selection. The depth is just not there when you look at the 2013 class.
